Heeb Magazine, double-truck what!?

No the cover shot isn't mine, but my photos are in this issue. The sausage pics are mine as well as the scone and Second Ave Deli shot. The best part is, this season's Heeb magazine marks my first double-page spread photo feature. So thanks to everyone at Heeb Magazine, especially Mike, for giving me all these opportunities to shoot. Also look out for the Fall issue, I should have a couple of portraits there too!

oh say can you see brooklyn?

This year for my 4th of July fun, after an afternoon at what is lovingly referred to as Hipster beach, I trekked out to Bushwick with mis amigos for The Brooklyn Tea Party's 4th of July "End of Term" Music Festival. We watched the fireworks from afar and barbecued hot dogs on the roof. A group of us even belted out the national anthem while watching the finale. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, I hope everyone's was just as special too!

He's Just So Pretty that Jon Henry

These haven't seen the inside of Photoshop yet so there remains some work to do, but for a quick edit from today's shoot I am pretty happy. It always helps to have adorable faces and pretty eyes! My favs are the bottom two and the first close-up shot. In-spite of the the bridge image teetering on the edge of a total cliché, I still like the whole feel of the image. Thanks to Genevieve for her genius styling and for holding the fill, I couldn't have done it without you!

Youssou N'dour - I Bring What I Love

Last night I shot the Q&A for the Producer's Guild of America. It was a viewing of I Bring What I Love, a documentary film about Youssou N'dour. I only saw the last part of the film, but what I saw was so moving and beautiful! The film was directed by Chai Vasarhelyi who is pictured above.

About Katie

My photo
Brooklyn, NY
Welcome to my blog! Here you will find a potpourri of images from my personal and professional life. It should be said, I rarely turn down an opportunity to shoot whether it be a wedding or just a good idea for a portrait for a friend or colleague. On planned photo adventures I most likely have my 5D at my side rockin' my 50mm lens (my fav!), but at the very least I've always got my trusty iPhone with it's arsenal of apps (who says you need 21 mega-pixels to make great images?!). So please, scroll and click around. I hope you enjoy looking at my images as much I as I enjoy making them! If you'd like to contact me about a wedding or event, or if you'd just like to say hi, please don't hesitate to drop me a line at katie@katieosgood.com. Thanks!
